Nicholas Gora

General Manager

Nicholas Gora grew up in Baton Rouge Louisiana where he attended LSU and entered the Club industry at The Country Club of Louisiana.  Nicholas worked his way through the ranks at CCLA and after 10 years moved to Metairie Country Club in New Orleans as a Clubhouse Manager.  After five years in New Orleans, Nicholas moved to Fort Worth at Colonial Country Club for two years before moving to California.  He spent a year in California before returning to his roots in the South here at Indian Hills.

Nicholas and his wife Courtney both enjoy their pack of dogs, travel, food and wine.  Both are hospitality professionals with a true passion for the industry.

Gary Turner

Creative Director

Gary, a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa, has been with Indian Hills since 2013. He spent 25 years in retail as the owner of Jester’s Flowers becoming the favorite florist of many Tuscaloosa residents. IHCC members can depend on Gary to provide creativity and polish to any special event held at the Club.

Stacey Gann

Event Planner

Stacey joined the Indian Hills team in November 2016. She has been planning and organizing events and programs for businesses, non-profits, and students for over 20 years in Tuscaloosa. Stacey was previously the Director of Events and Leadership Programs for The Chamber of Commerce for 18 years. She now enjoys using her skill set to make your event at Indian Hills special.

Stacey has a son, Jameson, a daughter-in-law, Katie and a grandson Grayson

Paul Reid

Director of Golf

Paul Reid has been the Head Golf Professional at Indian Hill Country Club since 2003. As a member of the PGA of America, Paul brings a wealth of experience to IHCC. He started his career in the metro Atlanta area at Southland Country Club in Stone Mountain, Georgia as well as Alpharetta Country Club. Paul attended Alexander City Junior college and was a member of the 1990 NJCAA National Championship Team. Paul graduated from Troy University in Business Administration where he was a First-Team All American. In 2015, Paul was named the Golf Professional of the year for the Alabama Chapter of the PGA.

A consummate Golf Professional, Paul brings many skills to the team at IHCC. Customer service, merchandising, recruiting, teaching, running club events and club fitting are a few of the areas he specializes in.

Paul married his wife Kim in June of 2001 at Lake Martin. They have two children, Katheryn and Paul III.

Kevin Holifield

Bryant Lancaster

Fitness Director / Personal Trainer

Bryant Lancaster is the Fitness Director and Personal Trainer at Indian Hills Country Club.

He has worked at the club for 13 years and has worked and participated in the fitness field for over 30 years as a fitness instructor, high school coach and college basketball player (The University of Alabama). He has coached on the High School, Middle School, and Elementary level in both the public and private sectors.

He obtained a BS degree in Sports Fitness Management, Certified SCW Fitness personal trainer/Physical Educator which he obtained from The University of West Alabama in Livingston. Bryant has been married to Jill Lancaster for 26 years. They have three children Sean, Faith, and Bryant Jr.

  • Volunteer Assistant Coach of University of Alabama Women’s Tennis Team from 1999-2005, 2015-present

  • 6-time Alabama Professional of the Year- 1990,1991,1993, 2002, 2005, 2009
  • Coached High School boys and girls tennis teams from 1986-1997 winning 14 state championships
  • 2-time USPTA Southern Division High School Coach of the Year- 1994,1997
  • Graduate of USTA High Performance Coaching Program
  • Graduate of the University of Alabama, B.S. Sports Marketing
  • Former #1 30 & over player in Alabama

Luke Dennett

Executive Chef

Chef Dennett, originally from Australia, brings 20 years of well-earned experience in both Australia and the United States. His training began under Chef Shannon Bennett at Vue De Monde, which was the number one restaurant in Australia. Since then, Chef Luke has refined his palette in French, Italian, Mediterranean, and American fine dining, and merged this with experience on a large scale helping to run numerous First and Business Class Executive Lounges for a major Airline. Chef Dennett is capable and excited about bringing that mix of casual, consistent family dining during the week, and an elevated experience on weekends and special occasions.

Paul Kerr

Sous Chef

Kerr brings a multitude of experience with regard to catering and restaurant operations. Paul is a long-time Tuscaloosa resident and cut his teeth at several local restaurants in Tuscaloosa and Baldwin County. Mr. Kerr will bring tremendous ability and support to Chef Dennett as they remake the dining experience at Indian Hills.

Glenda Harris

Sous Chef

Glenda Harris joined Indian Hills in April 2021. She is an Alabama native and graduated from Northside High School. She attended the University of Alabama and Johnson & Wales University where she received her culinary degree.  Her career took her to south Florida where she worked in management at Flanigan’s Seafood Bar & Grill until family lured her back to Alabama in 2014. She managed the deli department at Fresh Market for 3 years until finally joining the staff at IHCC. She has quickly become a member favorite bartending in the Dogwood Bar and running the 19th Hole kitchen.

Glenda is a spin instructor in her leisure time, enjoys sports and spending quality time with her husband. She also devotes time to raising money for charities.

Sam Owens

Member Experience Manager

Sam, A native of Tuscaloosa, attended Paul W. Bryant High School and upon graduation attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has been in the hospitality industry for 12 years while finding his passion working in the Country Club setting. Sam enjoys traveling in his free time and is thrilled with the opportunity to come back and continue his career in his hometown.

Vicky Evangelou

Food and Beverage Manager

Vicky Evangelou was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois to Greek immigrate parents. Ever since she was able to work, Vicky thrived in the hospitality industry working in both the private and public sectors all the way through College. You could say hospitality is in her blood. Vicky graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in Public Relations. For the past five years, Vicky has been working at UA as the Events Coordinator for the College of Education. She has very much enjoyed the journey and is looking forward to the next chapter in her career. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and teaching fitness classes at the University Recreation Center. She is looking forward to getting to know our members on a personal level and attend to their membership needs.

Andrew Peyton

Head Golf Professional

Andrew is originally from Shreveport, LA. He started playing golf at a young age and developed a great passion for it. Shortly after playing college golf at the University of New Orleans, Andrew moved to Tuscaloosa and began working here at Indian Hills. Andrew loves helping the membership improve their games and get the most out of their golf experience. Andrew is a Class A PGA professional as well as TPI certified.

Trent Humber

Trent is a graduate of the University of West Alabama and is pursuing his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Troy University.  He comes to us after serving in the same role at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Maci Goggans

IHCC Assistant Tennis Professional

Maci is a former Alabama Junior Player of the Year, #1 Junior in Alabama and top 35 ranking in the South. Played Junior Fed Cup as #1 player for Alabama.
Maci comes to us from Pensacola C.C. and will be in charge of our IHCC Jr Program. She loves tennis and working with kids!
