Nicholas Gora

General Manager

Nicholas Gora grew up in Baton Rouge Louisiana where he attended LSU and entered the Club industry at The Country Club of Louisiana.  Nicholas worked his way through the ranks at CCLA and after 10 years moved to Metairie Country Club in New Orleans as a Clubhouse Manager.  After five years in New Orleans, Nicholas moved to Fort Worth at Colonial Country Club for two years before moving to California.  He spent a year in California before returning to his roots in the South here at Indian Hills.

Nicholas and his wife Courtney both enjoy travel, food and wine.  Both are hospitality professionals with a true passion for the industry.

Gary Turner

Creative Director

Gary, a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa, has been with Indian Hills since 2013. He spent 25 years in retail as the owner of Jester’s Flowers becoming the favorite florist of many Tuscaloosa residents. IHCC members can depend on Gary to provide creativity and polish to any special event held at the Club.

Stacey Gann

Executive Assistant

Stacey joined the Indian Hills team in November 2016 as the Director of Events & Catering. She has been planning and organizing events and programs for businesses, non-profits and students for over 25 years in Tuscaloosa. In 2023 Stacey moved into the role of Executive Assistant, dedicated to serving more areas of the Club and its members.

Outside of the office Stacey enjoys spending time with family, especially her two grandsons, Grayson and Cooper.

Paul Reid

Director of Golf

Paul Reid has been the Head Golf Professional at Indian Hill Country Club since 2003. As a member of the PGA of America, Paul brings a wealth of experience to IHCC. He started his career in the metro Atlanta area at Southland Country Club in Stone Mountain, Georgia as well as Alpharetta Country Club. Paul attended Alexander City Junior college and was a member of the 1990 NJCAA National Championship Team. Paul graduated from Troy University in Business Administration where he was a First-Team All American. In 2015, Paul was named the Golf Professional of the year for the Alabama Chapter of the PGA.

A consummate Golf Professional, Paul brings many skills to the team at IHCC. Customer service, merchandising, recruiting, teaching, running club events and club fitting are a few of the areas he specializes in.

Paul married his wife Kim in June of 2001 at Lake Martin. They have two children, Katheryn and Paul III.

Kevin Holifield

Golf Course Superintendent

Since coming to work for Indian Hills in 1995, Kevin has been responsible for the overall maintenance and management of the Indian Hills golf course and grounds. A graduate of Mississippi State University, he earned his degree in Agronomy. Kevin has overseen three golf course renovations since he came to work for the Club. The work done by Kevin, and his team of fourteen employees, is regularly recognized by our members and their guests and that is rewarding. It’s important to him that the members are proud of their course.

Kevin is a graduate of Marion Military Institute. He and his wife, Dana, live in Gordo and have two daughters and five grandchildren.

Harris Busby

Director of Fitness and Wellness

Harris is a lifelong Tuscaloosa resident. Before starting at IHCC, Harris taught physical education for 4 and half years in Baldwin County and Tuscaloosa city. Harris started training people in 2019 in an effort to combat chronic illness and sedentary lifestyles. He practices what he preaches and if he isn’t at work, you can catch him doing some sort of outdoor physical activity.

Keith Swindoll

Director of Tennis

Keith Swindoll is a USPTA Master Professional, the highest designation you can earn and an achievement earned by less than 1% of tennis professionals worldwide. He has been a part of the staff at Indian Hills since 1987 and currently serves as the Director of Tennis. Keith is a 6-time Alabama Professional of the Year and a 2009 Graduate of USTA High Performance Coaching Program. He is also a former #1 30 & over player in Alabama and was inducted into the Alabama Tennis Hall of Fame in 2013. Other honors include: USPTA Southern Tennis Professional of the Year 2014, USPTA Southern College Coach of the Year 2020 and USPTA Southern Teaching Professional of the Year 2021. Keith is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Sports Marketing.

Keith and his wife have two children and in any spare time he serves as an Assistant Coach for the University of Alabama Women’s Tennis Team.

Paul Kerr

Executive Chef

Kerr brings a multitude of experience with regard to catering and restaurant operations. Paul is a long-time Tuscaloosa resident and cut his teeth at several local restaurants in Tuscaloosa and Baldwin County. Mr. Kerr will bring tremendous ability and creativity to remake the dining experience at Indian Hills.

Sam Owens

Food and Beverage Director

Sam, a native of Tuscaloosa, attended Paul W. Bryant High School and upon graduation attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has been in the hospitality industry for 12 years while finding his passion working in the Country Club setting. Sam enjoys traveling in his free time and is thrilled with the opportunity to come back and continue his career in his hometown.

Kennedy Perrenoud

Catering and Member Events Director

Kennedy, staff member since July of 2023, is a dedicated hospitality professional with a passion for creating exceptional experiences. Her journey in the hospitality industry began during her travels to warm destinations with family and friends, and it has since evolved into a fulfilling career. With over 5 years of industry experience, Kennedy has developed an appreciation for country clubs, valuing the opportunities they offer for fostering meaningful connections with members.

Raised in Valencia, California, and Farmington, Connecticut, Kennedy attended Miss Porter’s School, where she excelled as both a rower and diver. During her freshman year at the University of Alabama, she pursued her academic goals while being a member of the women’s rowing team, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.

With a commitment to delivering exceptional service, Kennedy eagerly looks forward to sharing her expertise with IHCC. She is driven to contribute to the club’s overall success, forge connections with members and curate unforgettable experiences for all who step through its doors.

Misty Potter

Club Controller

Misty graduated from Hale County High School in 1995 as Valedictorian. She attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she played clarinet in the Million Dollar while earning a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a minor in Advertising. She graduated Magna Cum Lade and was added to the Accounting Honors Board.  Then, earned a Master of Accountancy with a concentration in Auditing in 2000. She was an Accounting Graduate Teaching Assistant while in college and interned with two local accounting firms and Hunt Oil.  After graduation, she obtained her CPA certification while working with Jamison, Money, Farmer & Co. and then decided to exit public accounting to pursue a career corporate accounting. She has worked for over 20 years in the accounting profession of which 10 years were spent in the private club industry.  She has worked for several local businesses including Hotel Capstone, WestRock, Shelton State, The Westervelt Company, and NorthRiver Yacht Club. In 2021, she decided to switch careers and teach math at her alma mater, Hale County High School. However, after the school year was over, she decided to return to the hospitality industry as Club Controller for Indian Hills Country Club. She joined the club in mid-December 2022.

Misty currently resides in Stewart, AL and is married to Roger Potter and has a daughter named Samantha. She is also a licensed notary.

Quentario "Q" Aull

Maintenance Supervisor

Quentario, “Q”, has worked at Indian Hills since April of 2021. Originally hired as an assistant, he currently serves as the Director of Maintenance for the Club. Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Q is a graduate of Northridge High School and earned an associate degree in Masonry from WCC in Selma. While working at Indian Hills, Q has become a Certified Pool Operator.  He previously worked for locally owned companies Two Men and A Truck and Harrison Construction. He is a valued member of the staff and ready to serve in any capacity needed.

Q and his wife, Nicole, are expecting twin girls in 2024. He enjoys spending any free time with his immediate and extended family.

Lisa Nelson

Housekeeping Supervisor

Lisa has been working at Indian Hills since 2020 utilizing her background in customer service. A professional dedicated to the appearance and cleanliness of all areas of the Club, Lisa has been recognized by her co-workers and members as a valuable, hard-working employee. She enjoys interacting with the members when she sees them around the Club. Their appreciation for her work is rewarding.

Lisa grew up in Tuscaloosa and attended Hillcrest High School. She and her husband have five children. They enjoy working with horses and supporting the activities of their children, especially high school band and rodeos.
